Last week we introduced phase two of our Baby Registry Giveback Contest, but now it's time to get to know our four finalists a little better! Each day this week, the Baby Bump spotlight will be on a different one of these amazing women who have all faced extreme challenges on their road to motherhood. Be sure to check back daily for updates!
We're starting today with Holly Dorlon, of Oceanside, CA, who was profiled this week in the North County Times!
When Holly's husband Marine Corps Maj. James Dorlon, was unexpectedly deployed to Afghanistan, she was left alone to juggle her full-time job as a family readiness officer at Camp Pendleton, a full load of nursing classes, and the extremely difficult delivery of her daughter Abigail, which was full of complications. Needless to say, this hectic schedule along with unexpected medical challenges left Holly under-prepared for her daughter's arrival, which is why she was drawn to MyRegistry.com's Baby Registry Giveback contest. Even though James returned and finally met his daughter when she was six months old (pictured below), he is now stationed in Texas, leaving Holly to manage alone until he is reassigned to Camp Pendleton in December.
Visit Holly's registry to donate or purchase items and help her chances of winning an additional $5,000 in baby products!
