Needless to say, this hectic schedule along with unexpected medical challenges left Holly under-prepared for her daughter's arrival, which is why she was drawn to MyRegistry.com's Baby Registry Giveback contest. Even though James returned and finally met his daughter when she was six months old (pictured below), he is now stationed in Texas, leaving Holly to manage alone until he is reassigned to Camp Pendleton in December.

We were browsing the digital racks at Amazon's Baby Store today and were shocked to discover how many of our favorite brands to wear also design clothes for baby! Okay, we admit that unless your infant is riding in the open back of a pick-up truck (in which case he or she probably has worse problems than fashion sense), you may have to put something under this "onesie." At last night's MTV VMA's the "M" might as well have stood for maternity. Pop superstar Beyonce stole the show by revealing her pregnancy on-stage after a soul-shaking performance of her single "Love on Top." This will be the first child for the singer and rap mogul Jay-Z, and we at MyRegistry.com couldn't be happier for music's number one power couple. That's why this week's Maternity Monday is dedicated to the gorgeous fashionista, whose style is sure to morph over the next few months. Last week on Onesie Wednesday we showed off a fabulous selection of organic baby wear; but this week MyRegistry.com is embracing the green theme in a whole other way. Summer's Hottest Baby Gear

June 21st may be the official start of summer, but for us, it doesn’t fully feel like summer until we’re sitting with family, eating ice cream super fast to keep it from melting, and watching fireworks on the Fourth of July. Making a Soldier’s Wish {List} Come True

Deployed soldiers across the world miss their families, friends, and the simple comforts of home. Lieutenant Colonel Robert Davis of the 101st Sustainment Brigade missed flying remote control planes with his three sons back in Fort Campbell, KY. Being on the other side of the world away from friends and family was hard enough, but try finding a hobby shop in Afghanistan that caters to the tastes of US soldiers! Luckily, with MyRegistry.com, soldiers like Lieutenant Colonel Davis are able to build a wish list with products from any store in the world--even when they’re stuck in the middle of the desert.

Lieutenant Colonel Davis used MyRegistry.com to add planes, transmitters, chargers, and other accessories from stores like Hobby Lobby and Amazon.com to his wish list. In just a month, over 50% of the items Davis had wished for were purchased and shipped to him in Afghanistan, including a plane like the ones he’d flown with his sons. “It was like Christmas for everyone,” wrote Davis. “Funny how we all so easily go back to being little kids. I took it straight to the dining hall to show everyone as they were grabbing lunch. The guys couldn't believe it and we started taking bets on who would be the quickest to start the engine with the chicken stick.”
